At The Coaching Space, we provide a safe space for you to experience new ways of thinking and acting in the world where you will quickly learn to chart your way into a new life – by design.
The focus at The Coaching Space is enabling people to develop choices, including how they experience the world, the way that they remember past events, and how they take action.
As we approach people’s experiences, we work from an outcome and performance perspective rather than focusing on the analysis of deficits or problems. Our highly trained coaches direct attention to the desired states and outcome(s), whilst learning from past experiences.
We help people reframe memories in a useful way, increase attention to what they want, improve sleep, quell nightmares, process traumatic events, and become more resilient.
For business professionals, resilience and wellbeing form the basis of great decision-making, understanding how to navigate complexity, and lead teams and organisations through adaptive, strategic approaches.
Our coaches do not provide clinical or medical diagnoses. We also do not impose solutions to an individual’s problem.
Our approach is complementary to other practices, and we often collaborate with healthcare professionals, enabling people to recover from mental illness and return to work.
At The Coaching Space, we mostly work with people that operate in challenging and complex environments, such as Law Enforcement, Healthcare Professionals, Defence Force personnel, Child Safety, First responders and business leaders.
We provide executive coaching services to leaders in a range of industries, and help people prepare for challenging interviews and exams.
We also work with people that may have suffered a significant or traumatic injury, or witnessed a critical event, and are looking for ways to make sense of their experiences.
Often, we find our clients only require a small number of coaching sessions to get the outcomes they need. For those that may be working with something more significant, an ongoing connection may be required. Our sessions run for up to 2 hours at a time, and often will include some takeaway tasks for clients to apply what they have discovered in the real world.
